The services provided by Deaf Societies are unique, practical and have resulted in Deaf Societies being recognised for their excellence in the provision of:

• Auslan (Australian Sign Language) interpreting
• Community access and information services
• Outreach
• Education and training
• Advocacy
• Independent living skills
• Employment services

Through these services, Deaf Societies assist people who are Deaf or hearing impaired from a variety of backgrounds (including people from Indigenous communities and people from culturally diverse backgrounds).
